At Law Office of Michael D. Waks, we have seen firsthand the devastating effects of drunk driving accidents. More than one-third of all traffic fatalities involve a drunk driver. What this statistic does not convey is the trauma suffered by those who survive these collisions and the family members of those involved.
As a car accident attorney, Michael D. Waks has dedicated his career to helping people who have been injured or lost loved ones in these wrecks.
We are excited to announce our 2024 Drunk Driving Prevention Essay Scholarship. The scholarship winner will receive $1,000 for academic expenses. Our goal is for this essay contest to spread awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to inspire young adults to avoid this behavior and dissuade their friends and family from driving under the influence.
To enter the contest, please send a 500-word essay that explains how teens and young adults can avoid drunk driving and prevent others from driving while intoxicated. You are free to discuss your personal relationship with this issue and to list prevention tips to increase road safety.
